Premdor Charity Auction

One of the UK’s largest door manufacturers is auctioning a donated motorcycle with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

Premdor, based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was astonished after Bloor Homes of Measham in Leicestershire donated a brand-new Triumph Trophy in support of Premdor’s tireless charity work over the past year.

The 2014-registered tourer in Phantom Black is currently listed on auction website eBay. The bidding is due to end on the 28th September and Premdor’s Charity Committee Chairman, Jon Walker, is hoping that the generous contribution will raise much-needed funds for two worthwhile causes.

Jon said of the auction, “The committee was absolutely flabbergasted after we were told that Bloor Homes was donating a brand-new motorcycle!” Jon continued, “Bloor had heard of our fundraising initiatives throughout 2014 and was impressed with the amount we had raised so far. They wanted to make their own contribution to our two chosen charities, allowing us to further exceed our total”.

At the time of going to press, Premdor had raised £11,600, with funds to be split equally between the Legion and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. The company has organised a variety of fundraising events, such as sponsored sky-dives and sport tournaments. Nineteen employees also tackled the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge on behalf of the charities, raising over £5,000.
