Internal Doors at a Glance - Choosing the Right Door for Your Needs

Selecting a door is not as straightforward as you may think, especially as there are so many different variations available to suit different requirements. This guide will help you determine what attributes are important for your needs, in terms of finish, construction and use, ultimately enabling you to match these factors with the right door.

FINISH

Flush Portfolio The stylish Portfolio collection is Premdor’s premium range of flush doors. Constructed using innovative Veneer Match technology this range offers consistency of grain and colour, making it a great choice for both commercial and domestic use where aesthetics are paramount.
Flush Glazed Fire Doors   Flush fire doors combine style and safety and are available in a number of different options and designs.
Foil   Foil doors are the perfect solution when you need to create a consistent look, with clean lines and a consistent wood grain appearance. This is also a cost effective option for both domestic and commercial use.
Foil Plus   Foil Plus doors have an enhanced solid core that presents superior strength, robustness and noise reduction.
Laminate   Laminate doors are an attractive and practical solution for high traffic areas and are suitable for both domestic and commercial use. They can be customised to suit all design requirements with finishes including realistic wood grains, patterned designs and block colours. These doors are hard wearing, easy to maintain and can withstand consistent impact and wear.
Moulded   Moulded doors are made up of an internal core (of varying strengths) that is then covered by a pressed hardboard facing, known as a ‘skin’. The core of a moulded door varies depending on the requirements of the door.
Paint Grade Plus   Paint Grade Plus doors are pre-primed and are available lipped or un-lipped. They have a smooth, dense finish, which means that they do not need prepping or sanding prior to painting.
Popular Paint Grade   Popular Paint Grade doors are supplied un-primed, however, their smooth finish eliminates the need to sand prior to painting, which is ideal if you require a quick finish. These doors are available lipped or un-lipped.
Timber   Timber doors are constructed using the finest oak veneers or clear pine. Timber doors come mostly unfinished, ready to stain or paint to suit your interior, although some styles are available pre-finished.
